Let's forego the pleasantries and get straight down to business.
At the rate we're going, the undead Nazis will soon outnumber the living. If we're going to go down, we might as well go down fighting. And if your training has taught you anything, then you're determined to die in glory.
Before getting into the thick of it, there's some basic things you should know about how the Achievements in Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies work. First off, we're soldiers here, not civilians, so don't try playing on Recruit in hopes of getting easy points, because it won't work. On the other hand, not even the best of you can hope to get some of these Achievements in one go. Gib 400 enemies in one match? Or fire off 10,000 rounds?
Before throwing in the towel at the very thought, realize that many of the Achievements are tracked over the course of multiple playthroughs. If you check Achievements under the Extras menu, you'll likely see that you have a percentage-completed score for Achievements like The Grinder III and Munitions Expert III (for a full Achievement list and getting started guide, see HQ's incredibly helpful FAQ). Below we've listed some of the more challenging ones to obtain. Now let's get started, ladies and gentlemen.

Achievement Guide
Radio Silence? - Hit the radio
Music has the power to move you, but does it have the power to help you shoot well? Crank up the radio and find out. It can be found on a table to the right of the Mystery Box in the Help room. Take a shot at it for 100 points and some smooth tunes. Don't like what you're hearing? Shoot again to cycle through the available channels.
Smells Like Chicken - Roast four zombies simultaneously
Picking up the Flamethrower at all is an awesome feat, not to mention the key to unlocking the My Flamin’ Heart Achievement. To earn Smells Like Chicken, along with 500 points, opt to cover the door leading back to the main room while stationed in the Help room. As the round starts to hit its stride, groups of zombies often bunch up together as they pile toward in. These moments present the perfect chance for an undead BBQ.
Dramatic Exit - Take yourself and three zombies out with a single grenade
When death is imminent, go out with a bang. Be sure to press and hold the grenade icon to avoid tossing it away from yourself.
Fresh from the Oven - Kill three zombies with a grenade that has been cooked for at least 2 seconds, without dying
Decide at the last second that you're just not ready for a Dramatic Exit? Toss your cooked grenade into a group of the undead and back up.
Hoarder - Get to and complete round 5 using only 120 rounds of ammunition
Best completed in a group of four, equip the Kar98K and aim for the head! Don't underestimate the strength of the knife in early rounds, either. Also don't underestimate the immense amount of pain a group of zombies can inflict on you. Use your judgment wisely.
Schnell, Schnell - Complete the first wave in under 60 seconds
Speed over power for this one. Everyone should grab the M1 Carbine and spread out, knocking down zombies as quickly as possible.
Severance - Explode 2 zombie heads simultaneously
As mentioned in our FAQ, the Kar98K works great for this Achievement, as well as the trusty double-barrel. This is best taken care of in the early rounds, when you can safely wait for two or more zombies to start bumbling toward you. Line them up and aim high.
No Barriers, No Fear - Reach round 6 without repairing barriers
The first two rounds shouldn't pose a threat, but be prepared for some resistance as you get into the third. Open the Help room door as soon as is practical and have the whole team grab Thompsons. Take up a defensive position by the radio and these 250 points are yours.
Witching Hour - Play the game during the "Witching Hour…"
Live a little. Stay up late and play into the next morning.
Armless… - Remove both arms from 25 zombies
Opt for the M1 Carbine in the beginning rounds of a few matches and aim for their arms. Be sure not to inflict damage on other parts of the zombie's body.
…Legless - Remove the legs from 35 zombies
Zombie legs may be resistant to bullets, but not to large chunks of shrapnel. Toss a grenade into a group of the suckers and the ones lucky enough to survive will start crawling.
Running Man - Cover the distance of 10 miles
What can we say? Play a lot of Zombies.
Stay off my Lawn! - Survive two waves without letting a single zombie into the building
Again, speed is more important than power in the early rounds, so grab an M1 Carbine and cover a window or two, racing back and forth in order to shoot down any zombies attempting to pry their way in.
Hard-ass - Take no damage for 5 rounds
This isn't as tough as it sounds. If you're having trouble, try grouping up with some friends and holding a defensive position in the corner by the closed Help room door. Just be sure to shoot down any zombies that slip past them.
Awesome Badassery - Reach round 20
You'll need a group of four for this one. Along with luck, practice, and some damn fine team coordination. Once you've got the Help room (which should always be unlocked first) down, open up the stairs in there around the tenth wave for more breathing room. There's a particularly nice corner to bunch up in up there.
